Introduction
Welcome to VX Player. We built this app to help you watch videos and listen to music stored on your Android device — simply, quickly, and without unnecessary complexity.
This Privacy Policy explains what happens with your information when you use the VX Player app and visit our website. We have written it in plain language so you know what to expect. If anything here is unclear, please contact us — we are happy to help.
App name: VX Player
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Media Files and Device Storage
At its core, VX Player does one thing well: it plays the media files already on your phone or tablet. To do that, the app needs permission to access your videos, music, and other media files.
Your media stays on your device. VX Player does not upload your videos or music to our servers for playback.
When you browse folders, create playlists, mark favorites, or view your playback history, that information is handled on your device. We do not need to copy your personal media library to the cloud for the app to work.
Device Permissions
Like most Android apps, VX Player may ask for certain permissions. Here is what each one is for and how we use it. You can change these at any time in your phone's settings.
To manage permissions, go to Settings → Apps → VX Player → Permissions on your Android device.
Advertising
The free version of VX Player is supported by advertisements shown through Google AdMob. Ads help us keep the app available at no cost to you.
When an ad is displayed, Google and its partners may process certain information to deliver, measure, and — depending on your settings and local laws — personalize those ads. What information is processed and how depends on your device settings, consent choices, and applicable regulations.
It is important to understand that Google operates independently from VX Player. We do not control how Google handles data for advertising purposes. For more details, please review Google's own policies:
Personalized Advertising and Consent
Not all ads are personalized, and not all users see the same type of advertising. Whether ads are tailored to your interests can depend on:
- Whether you have given consent, where required by law
- Privacy laws that apply in your country or region
- Your Android device and Google account settings
- Advertising preferences you have set with Google
Depending on where you live, you may see a consent prompt when you first open the app or while using it. The options available to you may vary by region and may change over time.
We cannot guarantee that ads will always be personalized or always be generic — that depends on the factors above and on how Google's advertising services are configured.
Third-Party Services
VX Player relies on a few trusted third-party services to function properly. These are separate companies with their own privacy practices.
Google AdMob
Displays advertisements within the VX Player application and may process information related to ad delivery, measurement and personalization in accordance with your consent choices and applicable laws.
Google Play services
Provides platform components commonly used by apps distributed through Google Play.
Google Play Billing
Processes in-app subscription purchases for VX Player Premium through Google Play.
Analytics
VX Player does not currently use a separate analytics service. Any usage-related data that may be collected is handled through the third-party services described elsewhere in this policy, such as Google AdMob or Google Play services.
Crash Reporting
VX Player does not currently use a dedicated crash-reporting service. If we add one in a future update, we will update this policy to reflect that change.
Information We Collect
Here is a simple overview of the types of information that may be involved when you use VX Player. The exact details depend on which features you use and your device settings.

This table is a summary. For complete details, please read the full policy above. Third-party providers like Google handle information according to their own policies.
Data Retention
VX Player does not require you to create an account. Your playlists, favorites, and playback history are generally stored locally on your device.
We do not maintain copies of your media library on our servers. If you uninstall the app, local app data is typically removed from your device, though this can vary depending on your Android version.
Third-party services like Google AdMob and Google Play may keep information according to their own retention schedules. We do not control how long those providers store data once it reaches their systems.
Children's Privacy
VX Player is a general-purpose media player and is not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app itself.
Some integrated services, such as Google AdMob, have their own rules around age and consent. Those are managed by the respective provider and governed by applicable law.
If you believe a child has contacted us with personal information through our website or support channels, please email us at [email protected] and we will address it promptly.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled through VX Player and this website. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against every possible threat.
For information we handle directly — such as messages you send through our contact form — we work to keep it safe and only use it to respond to your request.
Your Choices
You have control over your privacy when using VX Player. Here are some steps you can take:
- App permissions — Review and adjust what VX Player can access in your Android settings.
- Ad settings — Check your Google account and device settings for advertising preferences.
- Consent prompts — Respond to any privacy or consent dialogs shown in the app, where available in your region.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, when we add or remove third-party services, or when laws require it.
When we make changes, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally so you stay informed.
